First Edition.Elsie de Wolfe was a prominent member of New York society, whose joie de vivre was immortalized by Cole Porter. She had taste and a knack for interior decoration, transforming the homes of many of her friends - Anne Vanderbilt, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and the Fricks - from dark, cramped Victorian interiors to light, spacious rooms furnished with French antiques.
