Chinese carved ink stone, reputed to be 'hongshi' stone, the rectangular body with a pair of confronted chilong marking the recessed well, the opposite side bearing a date of Qianlong ninth year in the autumn months of jiazi, further inscribed 'zhi tian Cao Xiuxian zhen wang' (=treasure of Cao Xiuxian) the stone of mottled ochre and orange tone (old surface wear), 7.25'' x 4.75''
