Johann Henrich Goettel(Pennsylvania, active 1786-1789, Kirchenbuch Artist), Berks County, Pennsylvania watercolor and ink on paper birth certificate for Phillippina Gottel, dated 1775 with central script surrounded by colorful angels, parrots, birds, hearts, and trailing floral vines, 13 1/2'' x 16''. Pictured in Der Reggeboge, vol. 41, pg. 6 and 23.
Condition report
Sporadic small stains. Center creases with separation. 3" tear in left parrot. Sporadic small edge tears. Sporadic very small paint flakes. Not examined out of frame.
