Majolica dog and doghouse platter. England, c. 1890. Unmarked. Measures 10" across handles. Mottled brown base. Relatively mat finish to off white background by leaves, good definition to dogs coat and leave on border. Some staining in glaze and a chip on the back of the plate. See images.
