[by either Lady Anne Weddell or Lady Mary Weddell], , calligraphic and illuminated manuscript in gold and other colours on vellum, 24pp., interleaved with paper ff. watermarked 1830, paper ff. with slight offsetting, cream silk doublures, original black velvet embroidered in silver wire with an intricate strapwork design, some wear to edges, head and tail of spine chipped, g.e., [c. 1830].

***The recipient was Lady Henrietta Frances (1784-1848), the daughter of the first earl of Enniskillen, who in 1805 married Thomas-Philip Robinson [became Weddell] (1781-1859), Baron Grantham. In 1833 he succeeded his maternal aunt as Earl de Grey. Two daughters survived into adulthood: Lady Anne Florence (1806-80), married in 1833 George, sixth earl Cowper, becoming Baroness Crudwell on the death of her father, and Lady Mary Gertrude (b. 1809), married in 1832 to Henry Vyner, one of these daughters was the artist..
