text woodcuts at the head of each canto (they seem not to be the Giolito series), full page woodcut border for the Argomento/allegoria of cantos 30-46 (these are cut into in a number of places), portrait of Ariosto, old vellum, 4to., Venice, Gratioso Perchacino, 1567.***A rare edition, not in Copac or World Cat., and no copy at Harvard. Ital.16 records only the Vatican copy, which collates ff. 258, [5], 31 [1]; ours is perhaps a slightly later reprint..
