Blunden (Edmund) The Bonadventure, first edition, signed and inscribed by the author to "Martin Booth, having skilfully discovered this old book, receives the admiration of another book-hunter, his sincere friend Edmund Blunden...1964" on front free endpaper, endpapers foxed, original cloth, a little rubbed, 1922 Wilde (Oscar) The Ballad of Reading Gaol, with an Introduction by Edmund Blunden, number 66 of 100 copies, signed and inscribed by Blunden to Booth "...with the best wishes of one who shared in the production...1965" on verso of title, illustrations, original cloth, spine browned, Hong Kong, [c.1957]; and a small quantity of others by or concerning Blunden including 14 volumes, some signed or inscribed by him and 3 from his library (one also signed by Blunden's friend/secretary Aki Hayashi), and a bundle of 4 A.Ls.s, 4 P.cs.s, 4ff. manuscript of an essay on John Clare, all in Blunden's hand, and a few photographs etc., 8vo & 4to(sm.qty)
***The letters and postcards all date from the 1960s and discuss poetry, send 21st birthday wishes, propose a visit to the book barrows on Farringdon Road followed by a drink in a local pub, comment on Booth's first book of poetry etc..
