Description

Excellent hand-colored platinum print, 9 ¼" x 7 3/8" on board mount. Titled, with 1898 copyright by F. A. Rinehart in the negative. Wolf Robe was Chief of the Southern Cheyennes. He wears a Peace Medal with the profile of President Benjamin Harrison that echoes the magnificent profile of this portrait. The artist Leonard Baskin made a print based in this photograph. Matted.
