George E. Essig (American, 1838-1926) Two 19th Century Landscape Paintings: George E. Essig, Cows Grazing, watercolor and pencil on paper, 11-1/2 x 24-1/4 inches (sight), signed lower right recto "Geo. E. Essig", matted under glass in a contemporary wood frame; and a painting by Renard (19th Century), Jersey Cows, oil on canvas, 12 x 18 inches, signed lower right recto "Renard", in a carved wood frame within a strip frame box with glass. Provenance: Private Collection, Bethany, Pennsylvania.

Essig: Surface dirt overall; in acidic mat. Renard: surface dirt overall; not inspected out of wood box under glass.
