John William Schofield (British, 1865-1944) Landscape with Sheep, oil on canvas, 24 x 18-1/4 inches, signed lower left recto "JW Schofield", in an eight ply rag mat under Plexiglas in a carved gilt wood frame. Provenance: Miss Alice Gerrity of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania and Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.
Condition report
Surface dirt; craquelure in sky and along the lower edge; a 3/4 x 1/4 inch area of paint loss at center of lower edge.
