Condition/Details: Bound in quarter cloth with bright gilt embossing to spine, this volume is a scarce autographed copy of the third novel by this Japanese-British author. It was awarded the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1989, and made in 1993 into a Merchant Ivory film, based on an adaptation by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, and starring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson. Inscription on title page reads: "To Lee,/best wishes,/ signature/ 6th June '93 (?)" The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean, bright pages.
