Author: J. M. Coetzee
Publisher: Viking
Printing Year: 1994 Signed first printing
Condition/Details: Bound in half cloth, this volume is a scarce signed copy by this famously reclusive author, who, in addition to being the recipient of the 2003 Nobel Prize in Literature, has the distinction of being one of only two authors to be awarded the Booker Prize for Fiction twice (Peter Carey being the other). The Nobel Prize was awarded to Coetzee as a writer "who in innumerable guises portrays the surprising involvement of the outsider". This particular work of fiction has as its central figure the Russian novelist Fyodor Mikahilovich Dostoevsky. This volume appears in a glassine-covered dustjacket and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 6" x 9" and contains 250 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
