Condition/Details: Bound in brown cloth with bright gilt embossing to spine, this volume is a scarce autographed copy of the 1986 winner of the Booker Prize for Fiction "The Old Devils shows the awful and absurd consequences when a group of men and women begin to move out of the comfortable shelter of middle age into a new sense of isolation and loss, of regret for lost opportunity and for destructive selfishness too (dustjacket blurb)," The novel was adapted for television by the BBC in 1992. Amis's son, Martin, has said that he considers this his father's finest work The volume is in fine condition, and is solidly bound with clean, bright pages. Dustjacket is in glassine cover.
