Condition/Details: Bound in beige cloth with bright gilt lettering to spine, this antique volume is a scarce limited edition of this translation of a short Sanskrit epic. In this epic there are six chapters, each describing one season in India. It begins with the Summer season; the remaining five seasons are Rains, Autumn, The Season of Frost, Winter, and Spring. This is number 346 of 500 numbered copies. The work is illustrated with tissue-guarded copper engravings by Robert Giddings. The volume shows light external age/wear, with darkening of spine and top edge of front cover. The book is solidly bound with clean, bright deckled pages with gilt top edge. The book measures approximately 6.5" x 9.75" and contains 28 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
