Condition/Details: Bound in beige cloth-covered boards with bright gilt embossing, this volume is a scarce signed copy of the South African author's second Booker Prize (1999). "Disgrace" is the story of a South African professor of English who loses everything: his reputation, his job, his peace of mind, his good looks, his dreams of artistic success, and finally even his ability to protect his cherished daughter because of his "disgrace" which comes about when he seduces one of his students and he does nothing to protect himself from its consequences. The volume is in fine condition, and is solidly bound with clean, bright pages. Dustjacket with adhered gold foil seal announcing the title as Booker Winner is in glassine cover.
