Condition/Details: Bound in green cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique volume is a scarce signed copy of Miller's Pulitzer Prize-winning first novel. The author's inscription on the title page reads: For John and Dorothy Parris in remembrance of so much - the years may grow longer, or shorter, but no serious changes can come between us - we are as we were, are, and ever shall be - the dearest of friends - it is a joy to know (underlined) you two; to love you is a bonus of life and living - Yours forever, Caroline Miller, (illegible name of town), S.C (or NC, where she resided for many years)., June 25, 1973. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book is in an intact glassine-covered dustjacket.
