Condition/Details: Bound in blue cloth with bright gilt embossing to spine, this volume is a scarce signed copy of the English author's fourth novel, winner of the 1984 Booker Prize for Fiction. "Edith Hope is in disgrace and working out her probation on the shores of Lake Geneva. Friends and family have banished her to seemly Swiss solitude - out of season - until such time as she may recover her senses. Her crime? It all subtly unfolds in Hotel du Lac." (From dustjacket). Bookplate with author's signature has been pasted to half-title page. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. Dustjacket is in glassine cover.
