Condition/Details: Bound in pale blue cloth with bright lettering, this scarce volume is a short prose work by the famous Irish writer, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature the year before the publication of this title. The book is signed on the title page by Canadian and Scottish publisher John Calder, who was a friend of the author, and responsible for initially publishing most of his literary production. This title appears as number 9 in the "Signature Series", "a new series of shorter works, distinguished by the highly personal and imaginative approach of the author to his subject." The volume shows very light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The completely intact, well-preserved dustjacket is protected by a glassine cover.
