Condition/Details: Bound in beige cloth with gilt embossing and red decoration , this vintage novel is the Pulitzer prize-winning (The Bridges of San Luis Rey - 1927, Our Town - 1938) author's retelling of Terence's "Andria", a play which presents a fable about the emptiness of the classical world on the brink of profound changes provoked by the birth of Jesus. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 8" x 5" and contains 162 pages.
