Condition/Details: Bound in white boards bright black embossing to spine, this volume is a scarce signed true first edition of this first novel by Dirty But Clean Pierre (pseudonym of Peter Warren Finlay). Born in Australia, the author was raised in Mexico and considers himself Mexican. The title character is a fifteen-year-old boy who lives in a small town in the U.S. state of Texas. When his friend Jesus Navarro commits suicide after killing sixteen bullying schoolmates, suspicion falls on Vernon, who becomes something of a scapegoat in his small hometown of Martirio. Fearing the death penalty, he goes on the run to Mexico.The volume is in fine condition, and is solidly bound with clean pages. Dustjacket is in glassine cover.
