Condition/Details: Bound in red cloth with bright gilt lettering, this antique volume is the first title in the English author's four volume series about the Yorkshire family. The second novel in the series, "Still Life" - 1985, won the PEN/Macmillan Silver Pen Award. Byatt won the Booker Award for "Possession" in 1990. An inscribed edition of this title is being offered elsewhere in this catalog. Please see lot #8094. This volume is bookstore new, with its dustjacket protected by a glassine cover, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 8.5" x 5.5" and contains 428 pages.
