Condition/Details: Bound in dark brown embossed cloth with bright gilt lettering, this antique volume is a scarce early temperance volume. The story is a retelling of a meeting with a family on a train and their experiences with drinking and becoming an "ex-drunkard". The volume shows external age/wear; minor loss to the spine and boards at the highpoints, with some foxing and staining to the pages. The binding is loose and the hinges and textblock are intact.
