Condition/Details: Bound in pictorial boards, this antique volume is first edition of book one of this Disney series, the first to show Mickey Mouse in this medium, in its very rare illustrated dustjacket. This book also contains the first reference ever made to the character of Donald Duck. Boards and dustjacket bear same illustrations, with the front cover depicting Mickey Mouse with a banjo and Minnie dancing. The work is profusely illustrated with images of Mickey and Minnie throughout. Glassine-covered dustjacket bears the name of previous owner on front cover and flap. The volume shows light external age/wear. Front hinge is loose and free front endpaper is lacking. Textblock is clean with a bright illustration on every page but one. The book measures approximately 5.75" x 7.75" and contains 29 unnumbered pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
