Condition/Details: Bound in red cloth with bright black lettering to spine, this volume is the Surrealist poet's only novel. Gascoyne, the author of the first English manifesto of surrealism, was a precocious author, who began publishing at the age of 16. His novel is a work that often deliberately frustrates the reader's expectation of meaning and coherance. Spine is slightly cocked, pages are bright and clean. The book measures approximately 5.5" x 7.75" and contains 218 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
