Condition/Details: Bound in redcloth with bright gilt embossing to spine and black lettering and decorative designs, this antique volume is a scarce early edition of the second novel featuring, Sherlock Holmes, originally published in serial form in 1890. This book introduces Doctor Watson's future wife, Mary Matson. Also present in this volume is the Conan Doyle's short text "The Siege of Sundagunge". The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 5" x 7.5" and contains 176/30 pages.
