Condition/Details: Bound in brown cloth with pasted title labels on front cover and spine, this antique volume is a scarce signed copy of the Missouri author's first novel, winner of the 1935 Pulitzer Prize for the Novel. This starkly realistic work deals with a Midwestern farm family contending with drought, debt and madness. Autograph on front endpaper is dated September, 1934. The volume is in very good condition, with both title labels intact, and is solidly bound with clean pages. Book is enclosed in protective plastic cover.
