Tabard Inn library revolving oak bookcase with peaked shake "roof" inscribed "The Tabard Inn", the revolving case sits on a pedestal and has numerous shelves for books, which were all the same size, there are heraldic shields and inscribed mottos such as "All the good new books in the best bindings" and "The best reading rooms in the United States are the homes of the American people", Tabard Inn Libraries was established in 1902 by Seymour Eaton and it provided lending libraries in a variety of commercial locations, such as drug stores, with a $3.00 annual membership fee, bookcase circa 1900, very good condition, 26 1/2" w x 76" t.
