Needlework Sampler, "Catherine Wheeler, Anno Domini 1834," England or America, 1834, silk threads on a wool ground with rows of alphabets and flowering vines, over a pious verse entitled "EARLY RELIGION," and several assorted motifs including trees, flowers, potted plants, baskets of fruit and flowers, and dogs, (toning, stain, small losses), 16 3/4 x 13 in., in original frame.
