Early IXL bowie knife with original sheath. 12" overall length, wonderful stag handles, file worked silver guard. Blade is full, it is slightly pitted and at one time looks like someone has put it on a grinding wheel. This is a Civil War era knife or it could have been Indian owned at one time.
