Costa Rica, c. 1200-1400AD., a very nice brown slip "ocarina" in the shape of a standing toucan. Nice incised detail on head and wings with some restoration and age crack evident on neck and back side of piece. Nice deep note is blown from tail of toucan. Unusual and desirable. H: 5". South Florida Collection.
