Crisp and clean Iris glaze vase with lifelike hydrangea flowers painted by Carl Schmidt in 1907. In typical Schmidt fashion, the flowers, stems and leaves are almost photorealistic. Marks include the Rookwood logo and date, shape number 925 B, an incised W for white (Iris) glaze and the impressed monogram of the artist. Height 12 3/4 inches. There are a very few craze lines hidden in the flowers otherwise the vase is super clean and quite impressive.
