Unusual Vellum Glaze vase with repeating depiction of a parrots seated in a palm trees with other palm trees in the background with the blue ocean providing a border, done by Sara Sax in 1916. Impressed with the Rookwood insignia, the date, shape 857 and a V for Vellum and incised with another V, for Vellum Glaze, and with the artist monogram. There is overall crazing and some peppering, which is not too intrusive. Height is 15 1/2 inches.
