Dyson (William Henry, 1880-1938) Criminals? Loitering with intent,
a group of urchins, with cricket bat and ball, cower in the menacing shadow of a policeman, pen and black ink over pencil, with some whiting out, 400 x 330mm., titled in pencil, below, central horizontal fold, annotated on verso, [Melbourne] "Herald" published 8/9/27, unframed.

***Will Dyson served at the Front as an official Australian war artist in WW1, working in London for a few years afterwards. He returned to Australia in 1925 and served as staff cartoonist on the Melbourne Herald, before settling in England once more..
