KWAKWAKA'WAKW SPIRIT MASK of the northwest coast, "Kwakiutl Bear", hand carved and signed in pencil by Tim Paul (Hesquiat tribe, born 1950). Red cedar, painted in black, white, red and green. Also titled and dated '82 inside. N.B. Tim Paul became head carver at the Royal British Columbia Museum in British Columbia.
Condition report19: Some light wear/ discoloration at top and through white trim; no visible breaks, losses, or repairs.
