ARTHUR VIDAL DIEHL OIL ON CANVAS (Holland, Mass. 1870-1929) "The Purple Hills", sand dunes and the sea near Martha's Vineyard, Mass. 18 in. by 24 in., signed Arthur V. Diehl l.r. and dated 1916. N.B. Attached is hand written picture postcard of this painting, "The Purple Hills", dated July 16, 1941 from prospective buyer to Dr. Winnifred P. Davis be sent (apparently for purchase).

68: Small hole repaired at upper left margin (in sky area); appears to have recent new stretcher wood wedges; very good condition.
