1912 state flower embroidered quilt, 48 squares with pink sashing and border, black binding, stitched on square verso, "Made by Sadie Smith Arizona 1912", machine and hand stitched, Arizona, c. 1912, 78 x 54-1/2 in. Fading, several areas of possible repair, browning to ground, light stains, grime. Provenance: Private Collection, Greenville, South Carolina Arizona became a state in 1912.
