1788 marking sampler, eleven line needlework, four lines letters over "SYCHE.RUE.HER.WORK.BORN.THE 6 DAY.OF.NOVEMBER.IN.THE.YEAR.OF.OUR.LORD 1788", probably American, 9-3/4 x 6-3/4 in. (sight); later wood frame. Browning to linen ground, fading, several small holes, may have been reduced.
