Hudson River School painting, fall landscape with view of sailboats on river or lake, unsigned, oil on canvas, American 19th century, 21-7/8 x 35-7/8 in.; original 19th century gilt wood and composition frame. Original stretcher and tacking edge, retouch scattered primarily in top half, one point lower right, crackle, flaking, grime, one patch verso with associated retouch central in tree at left; frame with abrasions. Provenance: Edith Worthington, Barnsboro Inn, New Jersey. The Inn has been in the family since 1850; Private collection, Black Mountain, North Carolina
