Salem Chippendale dressing table, mahogany with white pine secondary, bookmatched two-board top, original batwing brasses, boldly turned pad feet, Salem, Massachusetts, 18th century, 30-1/2 x 32-3/4 x 21-1/4 in. Good condition with old refinishing, break and repair to top interior of one rear leg, cracks to top, small break and repair at one side return, other normal cracks, knot patches and minor flaws, brasses with polish residue. Provenance: Leigh Keno Antiques, David Schorgin Antiques, and Sotheby's, New York (sold January 2007, lot 532). Reserve: $8,000
