American Federal mahogany sideboard, poplar and yellow pine secondary, highly figured mahogany veneers, bottle drawers with original dividers, beading on top right drawer stamped "Alex Colder", middle Atlantic states, early 19th century, 43-13/4 x 69 x 25-1/2 in. Refinished, veneer cracking, warping and minor patches, break and repair to one front foot, brass feet probably later. Provenance: Found in Charleston, South Carolina. Possibly made or owned by Alex Colder of Charleston, South Carolina. Attribution made by Milby Burton, per Mr. Bilbro's notes.
