English silver tea service, pear form, acanthus finial, C-scroll handles, engraved arabesque style decoration, dome pedestal bases, bead borders, most with marks for London 1885, Thomas Bradbury & Co., sugar marked London, 1956, possibly I. Freeman & Co., engraved with heraldic device with lion "SPES INFRACTA": 10-1/4 in. coffeepot with matching teapot, creamer, open sugar, open pieces with gilt interiors, .925 fine, 69.44 oz. T. Minor dents, light scratches, teapot with replaced spacer. Provenance: Birlant's Antiques, Charleston, South Carolina, 1963
