Charles Frodsham marine chronometer, silvered dial marked "Charles Frodsham…London", serial number 2513, fine boss mounts, 5-1/2 in. diameter, in a fine double-lidded rosewood box marked "Chas Frodsham, 84 Strand, London No. 2513", British, circa 1850-1865, in working order, 7 x 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 in. Very minor cracks to veneer and inlaid escutcheon, locking mechanism in good order. Provenance: Max Webber, Boston, Massachusetts, 1971 The serial number 2513 and the 84 Strand address suggest a date of 1850-1865.
