Maria Howard Weeden watercolor (Huntsville, Alabama, 1847-1905), portrait of an elderly black man painted in an oval, signed lower left "Howard Weeden", watercolor on card, 11 x 9 in.; early 20th century gilt and black painted wood frame. Light grime, toning, fading, glue and paper accretion at four corners; frame with abrasions.
