American Federal Plantation desk, cherry with poplar and pine secondary, double slant lid with fitted interiors each with three dovetailed drawers, over two dovetailed drawers, turned legs with H stretcher, middle Atlantic states, possibly Tennessee, 19th century, 51 x 59-1/2 x 32 in. Refinished, splash board replaced, brasses replaced (no plugged holes), shrinkage cracks to one leg, other normal wear and minor repairs.
