Virginia/Maryland Federal games table, fold-over top over mahogany veneered and line inlaid skirt, tapered square legs with bellflower and line inlay, underside of stationary top signed "Duncan", yellow pine, white pine and birch secondary, attributed to Baltimore, Maryland area, early 19th century, 29-1/4 x 34 x 17 in. (opens to 34-1/2 in.). Old refinishing with scattered stains, light mildew, minor veneer patches, crack and repair to swing leg, patches and repairs at hinges, rear stationary leg with later screws, some other screws reset, underside of top with evidence of later braces now removed. A Moses Duncan is recorded in the MESDA Craftsmen Index as a joiner working in Fauquier County, Virginia, circa 1801.
