Pair Japanese Satsuma vases: quadrilateral, polychrome and gilt patterned rondels and diamonds on a navy ground, panels of the Three Friends of Winter, conifer, prunus and willow, base with iron red and gilt Shimazu crest, Sekizan mark, late 19th/early 20th century, 4-3/4 in. Wear and loss to gilt at rims, some loss of brown pigment on conifers. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Dr. Jeffrey Lieberman
