Two Japanese satsuma vases, both polychrome and gilt, cobalt grounds with gilt flowers: one handled pear form, shaped cartouches of people visiting on a verandah, mounted general with retainers on a road, base with gold mark for Kinkozan, 5-1/8 in., [repaired neck;] one globular form, cartouches of performers in a garden, draped shell or [onigiri] with interior scene of boys enjoying a summer evening, 3-3/4 in., [excellent condition.] Both with minor loss to glaze and gilt.
