Two pieces Chinese [guri] lacquer: round lidded boxes, one lacquer on bronze with gilt rims, lid with quadrefoil scrolled design, [ruyi] head borders, 18th or 19th century, 4-1/2 x 11-3/4 in., [very minor chips, interior rim with minor dent, wear to gilt with some corrosion, interior with wear, 1/2 in. lacquer loss;] one lacquer on wood, lid with four whorls, scrolling vine, base with fretwork, four-character Xuande period (1426-1435) mark in square, 19th century, 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 in., [very minor chips and wear.] Provenance: The Estate of the Late Dr. Jeffrey Lieberman
