Young & Sons transit, face marked "Young & Sons, Philadelphia", serial number 7510, 9-3/4 in. telescope, 4-1/4 in. needle, height 11-3/4 in., dovetailed mahogany case with original labels, 14 x 9-1/2 x 11-3/4 in., with additional eyepiece, screwdriver, magnifying lens (chipped), adjusting pin, sun shade, K&E oak tripod. Transit in good condition, case with separations, replaced strap. Provenance: The Collection of the Late Ronald Kiser, Mars Hill, North Carolina
