Gurley vernier compass, silvered face marked "W. & L.W. Gurley Troy, N.Y.", two fluid levels, 7-3/4 in. sights, 6 in. needle, length 15-1/2 in., and stenciled "91", ball-and-socket adapter, and dovetailed mahogany case. Old unpolished surface, normal wear, silvered face with minor corrosion, lacking plumb bob and possibly other implements, label with extensive damage, adapter with minor tool marks, replaced leather strap, case with chips, losses, later refinishing.
